Campaigners plead with council to keep valley rural

A spirited crowd urged councillors to keep the Maitai Valley free from a new housing development.

The Save the Maitai group spoke at the public forum of a Nelson City Council meeting on Tuesday, with more than 100 people turning out to back the campaign.
